Our mission has always stood that someone’s financial circumstance should not stand in the way of having an advocate by their side.
Over the past decade, the founders of Trans Up Front have supported nearly 100 families each year across Illinois, guiding them through complex healthcare systems, legal processes, educational barriers, and social challenges. Since the beginning of the Trump administration, we’ve received over 500 requests for advocacy and the need continues to grow.

What is the Luminary Society?
The Luminary Society is a community of caring supporters who believe in a brighter, more inclusive future for transgender and gender-expansive youth. By joining, you help keep the light shining for young people and families across Illinois—funding spaces of joy, belonging, and affirmation through Trans Up Front’s programs, support groups, and community events.
As a Luminary, you’re not just making a donation, you’re standing shoulder to shoulder with others who are helping trans youth know they are seen, valued, and loved. Together, we’re building a world where every young person can grow into their full, radiant self with confidence and pride.
Spark | $250-$499
At this level, your spark of generosity can ignite real change—supporting either two impactful school board actions or access services for 1 training session or town halls.
Glow | $1,000-$2,499
At the Glow level, your support helps light the way—launching a new TUF Ambassador location to build joy, safety, and community in rural or underserved areas that need it most.
